If You Feel Far Away from God, Guess Who Moved?
Feeling Distant from God?
Have you ever felt far away from God? Sometimes, when we feel this distance, it’s worth asking the question: “Who moved?” Could it be that we have moved away, rather than God?
Remember this vital truth:God is love.He looks upon you with a heart full of compassion and desires to reconcile and restore you. Only God can prepare you for the fullness of life because He is Life (John 14:6).
A Psalmist’s Reflection on God’s Presence
Listen to the honest words of a person in the Bible who wrestled with God's presence:
Psalm 139:7-12 (NLT)"Where can I go from your Spirit?Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there;if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn,if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me,your right hand will hold me fast.If I say, ‘Surely the darkness will hide meand the light become night around me,’even the darkness will not be dark to you;the night will shine like the day,for darkness is as light to you."
God is always with us—there is nowhere to hide or run from Him. His Spirit pursues us with love and mercy.
God Sees Us Even in Our Sin
God was watching even when we chose to sin, because sin is not a mistake, but a rebellion—done knowingly and seen by God. This is why the most loving and reasonable step we can take is to turn back to Him and ask for His forgiveness.
God is never far from us and is always committed to bless and restore those who humbly come to Him.
A Prayer for Restoration
Father, forgive me for the times I thought You did not see me. Restore me, Lord. Draw me close to You again, in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Think... and Thank God!
God’s love surrounds you even now. When you feel lost or distant, remember that He remains faithful and ready to welcome you home.
